$60/half hr   -    $100/hr   -   $120/hr for in-home session   -   $160/hr including pianist

For students of all levels, this tutorial includes a warm-up, finding your unique voice, learning and utilizing proper singing technique and discovering and mastering material that is right for you.

After determining your level of experience, we will work together to form a personalized curriculum utilizing monologue work, improvisation, creation of character, dialects, scene and song study and various acting techniques to hone your skills while preparing for both a vigorous presence onstage as well as in life.  Beginning students will enjoy exercises fostering skills in spontaneity, risk-taking, flexibility, listening and being present in the moment while cultivating a greater awareness of self.  Intermediate students will study physical behavior and life, beginning text analysis and interpretation, and professionalism and work ethics.  Advanced students will learn how to create a character from scratch, delve into monologue and scene work, advanced script analysis and advanced audition techniques, learning how to find and create material for each audition.

Do you have an audition for your Elementary, Middle or High School play or musical coming up?  I can help you research the piece, determine which part you should audition for and help you select and refine your audition material.

Are you planning on auditioning for an BFA or MFA programs in Drama and/or Musical Theatre?  This process can be stressful and isolating for both parent and student.  Get the coaching and support you need to be well-prepared and audition feeling confident in your work.

These sessions are adjusted to each individuals needs.  In addition to working on the monologues required for the auditions (typically contemporary and classical pieces) as well as two contrasting songs (an age-appropriate traditional Musical Theatre selection as well as a Pop-Rock song), I will help you select material and refine it.  I also make myself available to help in each step of the application process including the choice of school that's right for you, the application, the personal statement, recommendations and the interview.

Our sessions will include a series of Mock Auditions, with my other studio members, where I replicate the experience you can expect to have at the schools you are auditioning for -- including an initial audition, a waiting area, a "callback", song, and interview.

Group classes in scene study, dance, improvisation, acting, vocal coaching, theatrical makeup techniques and dialect coaching available upon request.
